After years of working, doing the grown up stuff like buying a house, and then buying and subsequently selling my 33 Workboat, I've found a Sports Fisherman in need of a bit of a tidy up. she is a 1980 model ex charter boat, with a 300hp engine which is the size I wanted. Comfortable cruising speeds with a bit better economy than the 500HP cummins.
I'm heading to take a second look at her tomorrow and will hopefully be agreeing on the price when I'm there. She does have a COP but this will just be on the back burner for me as I'm buying for pleasure not work. She comes with a 2011 electronics Raymarine setup and quite a few other bits. The current owner just doesn't have the time to use her. There 'might' be a problem with some osmosis blisters which is why I'm heading to check it over again tomorrow. Watch this space.
Good luck if you do buy her. Look forward to seeing some pics etc. I don't know much about osmosis other than it can be treated and cured then prevented from happening again. According to my surveyor ''no boat has ever sunk because of it'' Although there were no signs when I bought LJ I had the bottom gel shielded after slurry blasting, prevention being better than cure etc.
