yes a cracking looking Lochin, and certainly worth re-engining if that is your choice a good buy for anyone, im sure Terry has his reasons....... value wise with a bigger engine would be well over 50k.
Anyone see the one in Yorkshire now sold on Boatshed, another steal for someone prepared to do some hard graft!
Im afraid my wife is ill with cancer and we had to go private as the nhs let us down but in a nutshell she has been operated on in harley street and the bill is more than i have in the bank so the boat thing has gone pare shaped
i will still be boating but i have to do the right thing
Very sorry to hear that Terry (I had thought there must be a real urgency to the sale). I'd do exactly the same thing in a heartbeat - best wishes to you both and hope everything works out OK. Someone will get a bargain - I can't see the boat being for sale too long. Cheers, Lee
I haven't seen the one in Yorkshire, what did she sell for? Do you have a link to it? (I've had to stop looking at the moment as my boat is in need of a bit of work before I can sell!)
Thankyou all for your thoughts this has been going on for a long time but she is getting the best care so the next year or two will tell us a lot about her future and we are stayin positive an getting on with it what else can you do
regarding the boat cant believe its going i only got it last week must be some sort of record
Mermaid was built by Lochin in 1984 and only crused till last year also due to ill health she spent 8 years shrink wrapped in a heated lockup, she is a wonderful boat and i was all prepared to buy an iveco n60 375 hp from west end marine £12k 150 hours on it but in saying that the engine that is in it is like new unblivable for its age
