starboard

Hi all,
Since the 4 x 22 x 19 R prop hangs under Tommie, she tends strongly to starboard.
There are no return valves mounted in the hydraulic system.
When i let go the steering wheel above 9 kn. she immediately goes hard starboard.
I cannot feel any play on the rudder shaft and there is no air in the hydraulic cylinder.
I never experienced this with the 3 x 21 x 20 prop.

What can be the cause ????
too small cylinder ?? I have only 3 steering wheel turns from starboard to port.

Kees.

Beste Kees,

I have got the same steering setup from port to starboard in 3 full turns. It's an Vetus steering setup and I haven't got that problem that she turns hard starboard. I can at full throttle leave the wheel and she keeps straight. Maybe some of the non return valves are not working? I attach some photos of my propeller.

Regards

Harold
