lucky ?

Hi all,
Wednesday morning 25 November, Chantal & I brought Tommie to Breskens marina, sailing with the tide, but against wind force 7 +.
Unbelievable, but Tommie behaved as it was a nice sunny day.
Yesterday I removed the Perkins engine and at last I was able to clean the inside hull where the engine was, so I can paint before the Iveco goes in.
While cleaning I found a kind of pellet hanging 2 inch above the bottom of the keel and after moving it a bit up and down it felled out and sunlight came from outside trough a 10 mm hole.
The pellet was a kind of epoxy filler, covered from the outside with some silicone and antifouling.
Lucky, it didn't fall out when at sea ????????
For us there walks at least one very irresposible guy around near Plymouth.

Cheers,
Chantal & Kees.

Hi kees

Whilst the engine is out, go over the whole thing with a fine toothed combe.

Better to find anything else now whilst she's out of the water.

If the maintenance was that bad, check your sea ****s; they could be jammed up solid.

Cheers

Chas

Bl00dy nanny state, politically correct editor. I said sea c0cks.

If I'd wanted to mention something else; I'd have said "Hampton Wicks"!
