A couple of upgrades

Hi All,

Suddenly realising that the traditional Radar Scanners are being replaced with HD or Broadband units, and it was always the intention to replace my existing Furuno radar having purchased a Furuno Navnet Vx2 a few years back I have been successful in getting the Radar scanner before they become obselete.

Whilst I was at it fitted a M Power 40amp hi spec charger which will keep the batterys in tip top condition and the Eberspacher and fridge running whilst on shorepower.......... result!

So after a bit of headlining removal,cables removed and new items fitted,here are a couple of photos showing old and new scanner with its cool looking scan strut. Im very pleased with the results and the Radar function on the multi function display is great to use having multiple screen options.

Hi Geoff

The new unit looks really smart and will give you years of service being a Furuno. What's this headlining removal you speak of? unfortunately we don't have such luxurys to worry about LOL

Hi Martin,

Have been a fan of Furuno for many years and I have just sold the old Furuno Radar of 1988 vintage on Ebay, which soon will be carrying on giving good service on a Tug ive been told. As for this headlining have attached a picture just for you lol.

LOL looks like a Rolls Royce!!! no condensation dripping on your head in winter for you then I don't think mine has been lost, it just never had any.
