DSC_0030 (2).jpgDSC_0032 (2).jpg

HI all.

I was looking at 'Genesis' when I was in the Isle of man for the TT also this year......took some photo's.

The first is 'Genesis' and there was also another one there too.

Lee, you must be a bike fanatic as well.......do you ride?

Martin, when are you expecting your new engine?

Regards.

Dave.

What a beast! :) I've been looking at that for years when we go over for the TT - never seen it go anywhere though. It is mint.

Hi Dave

Delivery was about 6 weeks but the Ford should be out anytime soon leaving plenty of time to get in the engine bay. Not expecting to be completed till end of Feb for launch in March.

Cheers

Martin

Hello All

I am a new member, only an aspiring owner for now...

However whilst browsing the posts I noticed this reference and must comment for all those genuine boaters out there.

www.findafishingboat.com/lochin-33/DB4293

I have been to view this boat, travelled all the way to West Ireland only to discover that the information supplied in the advert is very missleading, the pictures are not at all representative of the boat as it now stands (the owner admitted they were 18 months old but I guess that is questionable)  - it is in an absolutley terrible state of deterioration, this in itself was very dissapointing but even more annoying was once I had collected some further info, investigating the origins of the boat further it was very easy to find out that the boat was much older than is being advertised.

Advertised as a 1996 boat but actually commissioned in the early 80's which is much more in line with its current condition (30 years neglect). I have owned boats all my life and dont mind a project but this will require a massive rebuild and in my view could not be economically justifiable for an early 80's boat.

I live and learn....noMTS_4330 (Small).jpg

Hi Whaler  and welcome to the forum.

Its a shame to see a Lochin in this state as it looked good in the photo's. It obviously has been somewhat modified in its time and sad to have been neglected since. Depending on price though it could once again become someones pride and joy with some hard graft.

Good luck in your search

Geoff............
