Launching Trailer Lochin 33

We are considering building a Launching trailer for our Lochin 333. Just a basic, non road legal trailer to pull the boat it up the slipway with a large tractor & park beside the key in the winter months. Looking for ideas and inspiration. Has anyone built something similar? Would anybody have some pictures of a trailer to suit a Lochin?

Hi All,

I built a trailer for my Colvic some years ago using the the front axle off a Bedford TK.  I positioned the axle far back to give lots of nose weight so that the tractor (little Ferguson 35) got plenty traction.

I have concidered building a bigger one for my Lochin using the front axle off a 17 tonne lorry and hydraulically steering it from the services on the Unimog.

The cost of steel, Hydraulics, consumables and time pay for lots of storage. Also you need to store the trailer all year round. Another thing to concider is insurance on a home made trailer.

Hopefully this thread will come up with some good ideas and not too many other negative things we haven't thought of.
