All gone quiet

Hi all,
it has gone very quiet on here....surely someone has something to say???
Dolphins in Torbay the other day no more than 30ft away from the boat and just off Brixham breakwater...what a lovely sight!
Boat should be started on the fit-out any day now, we are about 9 weeks behind already so i really want to get going on it now. Will post more photo's as we go.
Regards, Dave,

You're right Dave, it has gone quiet again.

If you look through the previous threads; I've winged about this before!

Dolphins off Torbay does sound good and definately worth a mention.

When it goes quiet like this it would be good if someone posted about sightings of tastey tarts in Guildford High Street.

One thing I'm not sure of; you mentioned that you increased the height of your wheelhouse by 4". Was this by just increasing the height of the wheelhouse or did you raise the whole super structure?

Keep us posted.

Cheers and all the best

Chas

Hello Chas,
'tasty tarts in Guildford high street' sounds interesting, but unfortunately we have 'Devonshire dumplings' down ere!!!
Yes mate, the wheelhouse has been raised about 4 inches (100mm), but the whole deck to hull arrangement has been raised very slightly (25mm or so) to get the engines below deck. The engines have now been paid for, as have the mouldings, so i am now the proud owner of two free standing 370hp volvo's and a set of harbour pilot mouldings.......not much use on their own........(i'll be borrowing the 'grumpy old git' from you soon!!).
Cheers,
Dave.

Did you ever see Jeremy Clarkson's V8 food mixer"? That would be a good use for one engine and you could make the other one into a 370 HP chain saw!

Perhaps you could make the mouldings into a jacuzzi and invite some of those "Devonshire Dumplings" along.

Cheers

Chas
