Hi im new to the forum. Im a proud owner of a lochin 33. The boat is out of the water at the moment undergoing a refit for the forthcoming season. I have spent weeks trying to track down a stern tube as the existing one has pitted and holed due to electrolizes.

The stern tube is 3ft in lenght, 2 1/2" Overall diameter with a 12tpi thread on each end, it is made of naval brass and houses a shaft of 1 3/4" diameter.

Could some one point me in the right direction?

I have an enginneer who could turn the thread if i could get hold of the tube,
