It is the start of our tourist season so we are getting ready for the influx of visitors. We do B&B so we are hoping we will be busy this year, first indications are that many people will be staying in the UK for holidays due to the economy, a weak pound also makes us cheap for visitors from overseas.
On the boating front I am hoping to launch this Saturday and steam the boat to Tobermory, should take about 4 hours. We will then be able to finish the painting and get our coding to carry passengers.
I have 200 gallons of fuel in the wing tanks which I will need to use up getting familiar with the boat, checking out routes etc.(well that's my excuse anyway) Hopefully we can get some good weather and enjoy ourselves, I fancy a trip to the Isle of Muck which should be a good jaunt.
I am not sure if there are any fish around at the moment, the mackerel come in about mid June and fishing picks up then as the water warms. No harm in having a go though, might catch a late cod or an early pollock.
