Good day all, I thought id post a few pics of the one weekend of summer had this year. Got a trip down to the Ecrehous reef which is between Jersey and France and a two hour steam from Guernsey. Good weather is essential even in a Lochin as 7knot tide streams and a forty foot tidal range makes life interesting to say the least. A magical place - just mind all the limpets on the way in and out!
Stu, brilliant pictures man! Can't beleive that buiding perched on such a tiny rock! I take it its in a sheltered location? Cuz up here the winter northerly swell would wash clean over that building i reckon.! Nice Wake Shot aswell.! Thanks 4 sharing,
Pleased you enjoyed the photos. The reef is fairly sheltered by Jersey to the South west and France from north around eastwards to the south. But it is open to the north west and the resulting pics are of damage caused in a severe gale from that direction earlier this year. As you can imagine rebuilding is difficult because of the remote offshore location and these days by building regulations/planning laws. stu
